"You look great." Luke told me.
"See. No need to worry about me." I said smiling.
"You're my best friend. It just comes natural." He said taking my hand. We walked into the 24 hour Drug Store and bought some snacks, then headed back to my apartment.
"I miss you so much, Robyn. Will does too. And Travis, gosh." He said.
"Give them all hugs for me." I said trying not to cry.
"Promise me that you'll come visit. Maybe next Christmas?" He asked.
I smiled as I looked up at him. I nodded. "I promise." I said.
I noticed a tear dripping down his face. "Luke, I promise. When have I ever broken a promise?" I said.
"I'll be looking forward to it." He said.
"We should probably hurry back. I could only imagine what Caleb is talking to Simon about." I said.
Luke laughed. "Hopefully lot's of embarassing things about ya." He said jokingly.
"He better not!" I said starting to walk faster.
"Wait up!" He said running up to me. "I was kidding!" He laughed.
He ran up to me and put his arms around me. "Can I ask you for something?" He asked as he reached his head over my shoulder and kissed my cheek. "What do you want?" I asked.
He laughed. "Just a kiss." He said.
"Luke, you're a dork." I said giggling.
"Is that a no?" He asked.
I turned around facing him. I took his hands in mine. "Well?" He said.
"I think Simon is my boyfriend." I said.
"You THINK?" He said.
"One kiss." I said.
I put my arms around him and rested them on his shoulders. "I love you and I miss you. I don't want you to think I don't." I said.
He smiled. "I know." He said.
I tilted my head and gave him a kiss. It was fairly quick and very little tongue. I stared into his eyes. "Everything going good with you and Caleb?" I asked.
"Better than ever." He said smiling.
"Good." I said. I turned around and we walked back to the apartment.
"So, Robyn." Simon said smiling.
"What did he tell you?" I asked, then looked at Caleb.
"I didn't say anything." Caleb said holding his arms out smiling.
"Oh he just told me some old stories." Simon said.
"Like what?" I asked.
They both started laughing. "Caleb!" I said laughing. "What the hell did you tell him?"
"About the time we all went to Riff's." Caleb said.
"And?" I asked. "I don't even remember that."
"Oh we know." Caleb said.
"Caleb!" I shouted. I ran over to him and hit him playfully. We were all laughing. "Don't tell anymore stories!" I said laughing.
Simon stood up. "I've gotta go run a few erronds. I'll be back in a few hours."
"Aww why?" I asked.
He laughed. "I'll see you in a few hours." He said. "See you all later." He gave me a hug and left.
"So, are you getting serious with this guy?" Caleb asked.
"No." I said sternly. "I'm not ready for anything serious yet."
"You're gonna have to move on, Robyn." Luke said.
"I am moving on!" I shouted.
"Okay, calm down." He said.
"Luke, I am." I said trying not to cry.
"Okay, sweetie." He said. He sat down next to me and put his arm around me.
"How many times do I have to tell you guys that I am fine?" I asked.
"Don't get upset." Luke said.
"We beleive you. We just miss you." Caleb said.
"I'll come home to visit for Christmas." I said. "I promise. Okay?"
"I'll be counting down the seven months." Luke said.
"You're silly." I said.
"You wouldn't beleive how much Travis misses you." Caleb said. "It's insane."
This was the kind of thing that I didn't think I wanted to hear, but suddenly I wanted to know. "How do you?" I asked.
"He asks us how you're doing. . . wonders why you havn't called to say hello." Luke said.
"He always looks worried about you when he talks about you too." Caleb said. "He told Abby that you're his soulmate."
I shrugged my shoulders. "Yeah. And I thought Charlie was mine." I said.
"You told me you thought I was your soulmate." Luke said.
We both looked at Caleb. "What?" He asked.
"Maybe you are." I said. "Maybe he was. Maybe there is no such thing as a soulmate."
"I think there is." Luke said.
"Hey, Luke." Caleb said. He looked upset. I could always tell when he was about to say something he'd regret. "What?" Luke asked.
"Have you noticed how much better our relationship got when she left?" He asked.
I closed my eyes and had to continuously tell myself that he didn't mean that. The room got quiet. I opened my eyes. "I belong here. Far away from all of you." I said. "I won't be able to screw your lives up with my screwy life."
"No, it's because deep down you both know you are meant for eachother." Caleb said. Neither Luke or I denied it and he continued. "So when you are together, it just reminds me that."
"Caleb, don't ever think for one second that either of us would hurt you like that. Or in any way for that matter." I said.
Caleb nodded.
"Honestly." I said.
"I know." He said.
Luke stood up. "Well, we better get going. Get a couple hours of sleep at least. Mind if we stop by before we leave tomorrow?" He asked.
"I'd like that." I said.
"Yeah. We'll get breakfast or something." Caleb said as he gave me a hug. "Love you." I told him. He kissed my forehead. "Love you too. I'm sorry."
I gave Luke a hug and they left. I changed my clothes and went to bed. I was a little worried that Simon became jelous of Luke or Caleb. I knew he wouldn't be running errands at this time of night. "Unless maybe he is a drug dealer." I told myself out loud jokinhly. I giggled. I turned off my lamp and layed down. I fell asleep soon after. I woke up the next morning and I felt like I was coming down with something. I was sweating profusely and my tongue felt swollen. There was a knock at my door. I made my way to the door and opened it. "Robyn!" Simon shouted.
"I don't feel good." I said as I started to feel dizzy. "I am taking you to the hospital."
"But, Luke and Caleb are coming over to get breakfast with us." I said.
"I will leave them a note." He said running to the kitchen. I started crying. I was afraid I wouldn't get a chance to say goodbye to them. I didn't know why I was so emotional. He taped a note on the front of the door and rushed me out to the car. He took me to the front counter at the hospital and they took me in right away. The nurse said she was worried about me based on my appearance. I fell asleep and woke up a few hours later. I still felt just as bad. I looked over and Luke was asleep on the chair next to my bed. I had IV's in my arms and a bandaide on my finger. I was so confused. I wondered if I had passed out or if the doctors put me out for some reason. I started crying and Luke jumped up. "I couldn't leave until I knew you were okay." He said. "Caleb went home. So did Simon."
