"LUKE!" I shouted into the phone.
"You can't possibly want to sell your part in The House!" He said, sounding even more irritated.
"Luke, I do. I'm as sure about this, as I was about starting The House in the first place. I want to sell it." I told him.
"Fine! You know what, Travis has been interested in the place. Maybe he'll buy it. It's not the same without you here." He said. "When are you coming home?"
"I'm not coming home, Luke. That isn't home anymore."
"I miss you." He told me.
"I miss you too. But I don't belong there anymore. I'm sorry." I told him.
"I'll have the lawyer call you. And the bank, so we can figure out how to do this." He told me.
"Okay. Thank you." I told him.
"Yeah. Bye." He said, and hung up. I just shook my head, and sighed. It was hard giving up what I had felt so passionatly about only a few months ago. I knew it needed to be done though. I curled up under my blanket on my couch and tried not to cry. I was a little sad, but I felt better knowing I was going to sell my part of the Bar. It was just one more thing that linked me to bad memories. There was a knock on my door, so I got up and answered it. Simon was standing there with a rose.
"What is this for?" I asked him.
"I was just thinking about you today at work. I thought I would stop bye on my way home." He said, and kissed me.
"You are too sweet." I told him.
"Hey, don't spread that around." He said, and I laughed.
"Lets go for a walk." I told him, and grabbed my purse.
"Is everything okay?" He asked me.
"Yeah. I'm selling my share in the bar." I told him.
"Back in Utah? Why?" He asked.
"I'm not really a part of it anymore. Someone who is deserves to own it." I told him. "Besides, I need to start over."
"What are you going to do?" He asked.
"I don't know." I said.
"Are you leaving?" He asked me.
"No. Not anytime soon, anyway." I told him.
"Oh." He said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Robyn, I really like you. If you ever go, I want to go with you." He said.
"What?" I asked.
"I mean it. You mean a lot to me. I know we aren't seriuos or anything, but I feel like we are. I've never felt this way for anyone before." He said, and took my hand. We walked to a small street that was a little secluded from the main roads. It was near the docks, so it was full of bars, clubs, and sailors. It was also full of young surfers, and punks. I always laughed at how many different kinds of people you could run into there. There was a man on one of the corners selling necklaces made out of hemp and seashells. Simon walked over and bought one for me.
"Thank you." I told him, and kissed his cheek. He put it on me, and then we walked around some more.
"Are you going to leave?" He asked me.
"No. Not anytime soon." I told him.
"Good." He said.
"I really want to see what we have." I told him.
"Me too." He said.
"So, tell me about you." I told him.
"What?" He asked.
"You know about me, now what about you?" I asked. He just shrugged.
"Have you ever been in love?" I asked him.
"Once. When I was 17. It seems so long ago now." He said.
"Aw. What happened?" I asked him.
"It's a long story. I guess we were both just too young." He said, and smiled at me.
"Do you still think you are too young?" I asked him. He stopped walking, and took my hand to turn me so we were facing each other.
"No. I feel like I could fall in love with you." He said. It gave me goosebumps.
"Me too." I told him.
"So, what do you want to do tonight?" He asked.
"What I want to do, and what we should do are two very different things." I told him.
"Oh really? I bet you and I want to do the samething." He said.
"I think so too. Do you also think we should go back to my place?" I asked him. He smiled.
"Okay, lets go then." I said, and laughed. We walked back to my place to hang out for a little while. We ended up just watching a few movies. A few hours went by, and we were both pretty tired.
"I should go back home." He said, yawning.
"No! You should stay here." I told him.
"Oh, and what happened to taking things slow?" He asked.
"I know. Please?" I asked him.
"Okay, but I'm sleeping on the floor." He said.
"Yes!" I shouted, and he laughed. He leaned over and kissed me. There was a knock on the door.
"Who the hell could that be?" I asked, looking at the clock. It was midnight. Simon just shrugged his shoulders. I got up and looked through the peehole. I couldn't believe my eyes!
"Who is it?" Simon asked. I opened the door and Luke was standing there with his boyfriend Caleb.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked. Luke walked in and gave me a huge hug.
"I was worried about you. You seemed sad on the phone earlier." He said. "Caleb's younger sister is having a baby, so we used the excuse to come see you."
"You didn't have to do that. I'm doing much better, I swear." I told him. "Come in!" I said. Caleb walked in and gave me a huge hug.
"Simon, this is Luke, and Caleb."
"Hi, nice to meet you." Simon said, standing up.
"Please to meet you." Luke said, walking over and shaking his hand. I caught Caleb checking out Simon.
"Caleb!" I said, hitting his arm.
"Hey, I can't help it if you have great taste." He whispered. I just laughed. It was good seeing them.
