As Carl began to read Abby the vows he had written, I could feel the tears streaming down my face. I tried not to make much noise. I looked up and Luke was looking at me. He smiled. I just looked back down. "You have made me a better person and I love you more than. . . actually words can not explain how much I love you." Carl said.
I could hear some other women sobbing as they kissed. They started to walk down the isle and everyone was chearing. When the ceremony was over, Abby's old friend Joanne took several pictures of all of us. When we finished with that, we joined everyone at the reception. They had everything set up perfectly. It was amazing. I sat down at a table. I was starving and couldn't wait to eat. I looked up and saw Abby's Mother, Sue walk in the door. Her Father, Chris followed in behind her. I got up and walked over to them. "You look beautiful Robyn." Sue told me. She looked like she was about to cry.
"Your daughter looks gorgeous." I told them.
Sue smiled as she clutched Chris' hand. The song, Thriller came on and a group of people, including Abby stepped out to the dance floor. "I'll get her." I said.
"Wait." Chris said.
I turned around.
"When the song is over." Sue said smiling.
I smiled. "Okay."
I stood next to them until the song was over. Abby had a big smile on her face the whole time. I walked over to her. "Hey." I said smiling.
"Thank you so much for everything." She said. "This is all a dream come true." She hugged me. "Am I crazy for wishing my parents would show up?"
"They just walked in." I told her. She pulled away. "What?" She asked looking like she had seen a ghost.
"They're here." I said.
"Pop." She said. She ran to her Father and hugged him. He began to cry.
"Thank you." Sue mouthed to me. I just smiled. I walked around to look for Simon. I didn't see him anywhere. There were a lot of people there though, so I figured I would just run into him at some point. "Wanna dance?" I heard. I turned around. "Travis." I said smiling. I gave him a hug and he laughed. He took my hand and we started to dance. We were being goofy, until a slow song started. I smiled. "So, you're doing good?" I asked.
"Pretty good." He said.
"How is your family?" I asked.
"They're all doing really great." He said smiling. "Billy asks about you sometimes."
"I'll try to stop by before I leave." I said.
He nodded. "He'd like that."
"I'll try my best. I'd really love to see them all." I said.
"You look amazing by the way." He said. He blushed and looked to his left.
I giggled. "And so do you."
He smiled and looked back at me. "I was really worried about you when I found out about the baby and everything." He said. "How is Will?"
"I think he's okay." I said.
"He'd like it if you stopped by to see him." He said.
"I heard." I said smiling.
He sighed.
"I'm really starting to not regret getting close to any of you." I blurted out.
"You shouldn't." He said. "And I don't regret it either. We had a good time. It sucked towards the end there, but it was still worth it."
I smiled. "Yeah. Things happen for a reason, right?"
"That's what I always say." He said, smiling.
I tried not to cry. All I could think about was how much I had missed all these people I use to call my best friends. "You okay?" He asked.
I nodded. "Just emotional. . . with the wedding and all I guess."
He smiled and held me close to him. "I wish you wouldn't have just ran away, but I can understand why you did." He said softly.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. When I opened them back up, I saw Simon staring at us. I stood up straight. "There's Simon." I said smiling.
"Oh." He said looking disapointed.
I gave him another hug. At that moment, I didn't want to let go. "You're a great friend." I told him.
He smiled.
"I'll call you and let you know if I can stop by the house." I said.
He nodded.
I smiled and ran over to Simon. "Which one is that again?" He asked.
"Travis." I told him.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said smiling. "You?"
"Yeah." He said. "Everyone's been great."
"I love you." I said giving him a hug.
"And I love you." He said, holding me tight.
The rest of the night was kind of long, but a lot of fun. I got to see a lot of my old friends, which made me really happy. Luke, Caleb and the guys planned a Four Wheeling trip and they invited Simon. Simon accepted the invite. I decided to drive up and see Will. I was very nervous as I approached his window at his parents house. There was some very loud music playing in his room. I knocked and the music was turned down. "It's Robby." I said trying not to cry. He peaked out the window. I could have sworn he had gotten even more handsome. I smiled as he opened the window. I climbed into his room. I grabbed him and hugged him. He held me tightly. I giggled as my eyes began to tear up. "I've missed you, Mister." I told him. He let go of me and sat down on the bed. His eyes were tearing up too.
"Aww, Will." I said sitting down next to him.
"Sorry." He said. "I just can't stop thinking about the baby and everything."
"I'm moving on slowly. It'll take a while." I said.
"If the baby was healthy, would you have moved back here?" He asked.
"In a heartbeat." I told him.
He smiled. "How long are you here?"
"About a week and a half." I said.
"Can you stay overnight with me?" He asked.
"Well, I brought my-" I started to say until I looked up at him. He looked really sad. "I brought my friend with me, so I probably shouldn't ditch him. He doesn't really know anyone here."
"Where is now?" He asked.
I didn't know what to say. "Four Wheeling with Luke. Simon's actually my boyfriend now." I said.
"You moved on kinda quick." He said.
"No I didn't." I said.
"Scratch that. I'm sorry." He said. "Can we at least spend a day together?"
"I don't know, Will." I said.
"So since you're seeing someone, we can't hang out now?" He asked. He stood up. "Damnit, Robby. I miss you. And you're here. And I can't even spend time with you."
"I am here now and I've got all day!" I shouted starting to cry. "I'll spend the day with you."
"Nah. I'm not going to force you to." He said.
"I want to." I said.
"Are you afraid I am going to hit on you or something?" He asked.
"No. I'm sorry. I want to spend the day with you. Let's spend the day together." I said. "We can do whatever you want to do."
"Ice cream?" He asked.
I smiled. "Yes."
