I heard light talking and giggling in the kitchen when I woke up the next morning. I got up and walked into the kitchen. Rio and Caleb were cooking something. "Good Morning." I said. "Hey." Rio said smiling. "How are you feeling?" Caleb just looked at me and turned back to the food on the stove. "I'm okay." I said. "I just have a little headache." "You want some Aleve?" She asked. "Sure." I said. She poured me a glass of water and handed me an Aleve. "Thanks." I said. She smiled. "Of course. What are friends for?" "Where is Simon?" I asked. "He left with Luke." Caleb said as he cracked an egg. "Fuck!" He shouted. "Sweetie, it's fine." Rio said. "GOD!" He yelled. He leaned over the counter on his elbows and rested his face in his hands. Rio rinsed the pan and cracked another egg. I figured he got egg shells in it the first time, but I didn't want to ask. "Cal, calm down." She told him. "I'm leaving." He said. She sighed loudly. "Caleb, come on!" She shouted. We heard the front door open and then slam shut. Rio started crying. "Watch this please." She said. She grabbed her coat and went running after him. I was so confused. I wasn't even sure what they were making either. I just turned the temperature way down. "Who the hell is yelling?" I heard someone ask. I looked back. It was Kado. I shrugged my shoulders. "I have no idea what's goin on. Looks like Caleb is mad about something." I said. "Oh. . ." He said. He sat down at the table. "Any idea what could have made him so angry?" I asked. "Nope." He said. We heard the front door open. Abby came walking around the corner. "Did you kiss Luke last night?" She asked. "What?" I asked pratcically speachless. "Caleb said he saw you throught the window last night. He said he thought he saw you two kiss on the doorstep." She said. "I told him he was crazy. Am I?" I sat down at the table. "It was nothing. It was a friendly kiss." I said. "Robyn!" She shouted. "Did you kiss him or did he kiss you?" Kado asked. "He kissed me." I blurted out, not even sure if I was telling the truth or not. I tried to remember, but some of it was a blur. "See, it is better when I am away." "Why don't you just be with him?" Abby asked. I studied her face trying to figure out if she was saying it out of anger or if she was being sincere. She walked over to me. "Do something for yourself for once." She smiled. "I agree with her." Kado said. "Be together if you think you belong together." She said. I sighed. "What I need is closure, Abby." I said starting to tear up. She gave me a hug. "I wasn't trying to start anything." "I know." She said. "Simon was very cool about it this morning. He was trying to stick up for you and it really pissed off Caleb even more." "Really?" I asked. "He knows this is all rough for you. He's a good friend." She said. I nodded. She let go of me. "If only life were simple." Kado said. Abby and I smiled. He smiled back. "I'll make some coffee." Abby said. All of a sudden, it sounded like she was crying. "Abby?" Kado asked. "I miss him." She sobbed. Kado and I both stood up quickly. He smiled at me and put his hand out signaling for me to go to her. "We all do." I said placing my hand in the middle of her back. "I was mean to him." She said. "So was I." I said. "And I swear, he keeps coming to me. He won't stop apologizing for what he did!" She shouted. She turned around. "I get it!" She screamed. "Whoa." Kado said getting up. He put his arms around her and she started crying more. "He never meant to hurt anyone." He told her. "I know." She said. "You see him too?" I asked trying not to tear up again. "Yeah, but he's not nice to me." She said. "What does he say?" I asked. She took a deep breath. "He said you were a good person until I rubbed off on you." She said. "Where is he buried?" Kado asked. "Elkwood." She said. "Well, you guys might think this is weird or crazy, but why don't you two get together with Luke and go do some type of seance or whatever." He said. "I don't like to think about it." She said. "Closure." I said softly as I thought to myself. "What?" Kado asked. "Abby, I think he is on to something." I said. "Do they work?" She asked wiping her eyes. I shrugged my shoulders. "We need some kind of closure." I said. She smiled. The front door opened. Simon and Luke walked in. "Hey." Simon said. He gave me a hug. "What's wrong, babe?" Luke asked Abby. We all sat down and Abby told Luke about seeing Charlie too. We told him about Kado's idea and he figured it was worth a shot, as weird as it sounded. The three of us headed to the library to check out some books. None of us had any idea what we were doing or what we were getting ourselves into. Abby giggled as she was sitting on the floor looking through one of the books she found. "I'm gonna feel like a kid messing with an ouija board or something." She said giggling. We all looked at eachother and smiled. "I love you guys." Abby said. "We love you too." Luke and I both said at the same time. We all smiled again. We grabbed the books we wanted and checked out.
