"This is going to be so crazy." Abby said as Luke pulled into his parking spot. We decided not to go until later that night. It was only about 1:00. Luke shut off the engine, and sighed. "You okay?" Abby asked him. "Yeah. Caleb is so angry." He said. "He'll be okay. Lets just handle one thing at a time, okay?" Abby said. "Okay." Luke and I both said at the same time. We both laughed. We walked in the house and it looked like most everyone had cleared out. Simon was sitting and talking with Chase, which I thought was kind of weird. Simon stood up and took the books from my arms. "Chase wants to talk to you." He whispered as he did. "Okay." i said, feeling very confused. I sat down on the couch next to Chase. "Hey." He said, looking nervous. "Hey." I said. "Whats up?" I asked him. "Uh, well I kind of wanted to ask Rio if I could take her out, but I wanted to ask you if it was okay first. I started laughing. "What?" Chase asked, confused. "Nothing. I was just afraid you were going to say something serious or dramatic. Of course you can ask Rio out." I told him. "You don't mind?" He asked. "No, of course not. In fact, a encourage you too." I said, and gave him a hug. "Thanks." He said, and smiled. I just smiled back at him. "I'm going to head home so you can spend some more time with all these guys." Chase said, and gave me a hug. I said goodbye, and he left. I looked at the kitchen table and Luke, Abby, and Simon were all flipping through books. I giggled at the sight. I sat down next to Simon and he held my hand. I started looking through a book on contacting loved ones who have passed on when the bedroom door open. Caleb walked out with a big duffle back over his shoulder. Luke stood up, looking worried. "I'm staying at Rio's for a while." He said. Rio was behind him, and she looked upset. She just shrugged her shoulders. Luke didn't know what to do or say, he just stood there. "I'll see you all later." Caleb said, and walked out.

There are a billion spells and chants and components...this is confusing." Abby said, frustrated. She always hated studying and researching. "Here. We'll just do this." Luke said. Pointing to a book he had. "It doesn't seem as hokey-pokey as the other shit I've been reading. It says to bring a candle, sage, matches, and items that used to belong to the dead." "Well, sounds easy enough." I said. "I'll go out and get some food for everyone." Simon said, standing up. "Would you like to come Abby? I don't know my way around." "Sure." She said, standing up. I think she wanted to stay with Luke and I, but I think she also got the hint that Simon was trying to get Luke and I alone so we could talk. Simon hugged me, and then he left with Abby. "Where is Carl anyway?" I asked Luke. "With his borther." He said. "I'm sorry." I told him. "For what?" He asked. "You know what." I told him. "It's not your fault. Caleb is the one being a jackass." It's different though, then how I feel about you. Can we talk about this another time? The book says you should try not to do this with a lot of negative energy." "Yeah, sure. Lets watch some simpsons or something until they get back with the food." I told him.

The drive to the graveyard was long, and silent. Simon came along with us. He was going to wait in the car until we were done, just in case something happened. Thinking about gave me chills. When we pulled up to the gate, it was locked. Luke drove around to the back of the cemetary and parked the car. "How are we going to get in? It's surrounded by 12ft hedges." I asked, climbing out of the car. "I'll find away, now come on." He said. I kissed Simon goodbye, and then joined Luke and Abby a little farther down the tall hedge. "I think we can make it over the fence. It's not that high." Luke said. "Screw that! Abby said, shaking her head. "It's not that bad-" Luke started to argue. "We don't have to do that." I said. "Look, the are are small gaps at the base of the bushes. We'll get a little scatched up, but we'll be fine." I said, and layed down on the ground on my stomach. I handed Abby my bad and then wiggled through to the other side. A branch caught my hair and tugged it loose of the holder, but that was it. "Okay, hand me the bag." I said to Abby. She slid it under, then started to crawl through. I was the smalles of the three, so I had the easiest time. Abby scratched her arm, and her cheek making her way through. "FUCK!" She shouted, standing up with me on the otherside. "Come on Luke." I said. "Coming." He said. He shook the huge bush trying to get through. He had a hell of a time, but managed. He stood up and we noticed his jeans had ripped. "I don't like being here." Abby said. "It's okay. It's for Charlie." I told her. "I know." She said, and zipped her sweatshirt up higher. It was kind of chilly out for being an early summer night. She looked terrified, so I held her hand. "Come on, this way." Luke said, taking the bag from me, and putting it over his shoulder. Abby and I followed him, arm in arm. Luke stopped at a grave. "Charles Michael Emery" Luke whispered. I watched a tear slide down his face. "A smile to touch a thousand hearts." I read, and started crying. I sank to my knees, and touched the headstone. Abby put her hand on my shoulder. "Lets just do this, okay." She said. "Okay." I said, wiping my tears on my sleave. Luke and abby sat down next to me and we made a semi circle around his grave. Luke opened the bag and pulled out the candle and sage. I spread out a small black cloth over his grave, and Abby set the items down. Luke lit he candle and started to burn the sage. I took off my braclet, and set it down on the cloth. Luke placed the guitar pic next to it, and abby pulled out a small hemp anklet that Charlie had given her in highschool. "I remember when he made that." Luke said. "He kept getting mad because He couldn't get it quite right." "I love it anyway." Abby said, and we giggled at it. It looked kind of pathetic. She set it down with our things. "What now?" I asked, feeling really nervous. It felt like a thousand eyes were watching us. Luke waved the sage all over the headstone, and over each one of us. "We just hold hands and see if we can't call Charlie forth." He said. "Wait, call him forth? Just his spirit right? He's not going to come out of the ground all maggoty or anything, is he?" Abby asked. I laughed. "I thought I was the one with the weird zombie fear." I said. "Shut up." She said, and stuck her tounge out at me. "Come on you too, be serious." Luke scolded. "Sorry." We both said, and smiled at each other. Luke placed the burning sage in a small altoids tin and the we all held hands. "Charles Michael Emery. We call you forth to the world of the living." Luke said. Nothing. "Charles Micheal Emery if you can hear us, please give us a sign." This time the candle blew out. "Charles Michael-" He started to say. "Stop calling him that! He hated his name." I interupted. "Charlie, come on. If you are there please come into this world. It's me, Robyn. Luke and Abby are here. Charlie, we need to see you." I said. There was a large extremly cold breeze. Abby whined. "Charlie, if you can hear us please-" I stopped when the ground started to tremble beneath us. We all jumped up to our feet and watched as the earth started to bubble. "OH SHIT!" Abby shouted. Luke grabbed us both, and shoved us behind him. We backed up a few steps and watched as the earth started to split. A hand burst through and we all screamed, and turned to run away. When we turned, Charlie was standing behind us, covered in bugs, and flesh half rotted away. Abby almost fainted but I cought her. Luke pushed us out of the way, and we both feel to the ground. I closed my eyes tight, then opened them when I heard what sounded like Charlie laughing. I looked up and saw Charlie standing there, looking like he did before he died, laughing his head off. Luke was there, bent over, trying to catch his breath. "CHARLIE! YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE! You are a jerk even when you're dead!" Abby shouted. "Sorry guys. I couldn't help myself. You always were so easy to scare." Charlie said. I just laughed when I realized he was a jokester even from the grave. "Is that really you?" I asked Charlie, unable to take my eyes from him. "Yeah. In the flesh." He said, and started laughing. "Well, not really." He said, when no one else found the corny joke funny. "In spirit actually." He said, and Luke let out a chuckle. I reached out to touch him, expecting my hand to go through him, but it didn't. I felt a cold, arm. I started crying and Charlie put his arms around me, and hugged me. It made me cry even harder. "Shhhhh. Come on Love, I'm sorry I scared you. Shhhhh." He said. "I'm not scared. I'm sad." I told him. "No one else calls me Love." I said. "Well, no one in a sexy british accent like me anyway." He said, and I laughed. He let go of me and I took a step back. Abby stood up and he went to hug her, but she backed away, looking terrified. Charlie just shrugged. He held out his hand to Luke, and Luke pushed his hand away, pulled charlie's ghost close to him and hugged him. The sight made me start crying again. "I'm so sorry." Luke managed to get out between sobs. "It's okay bro." Charlie said. "Its my fault. I was mean to you before-" Luke tried to say. "Shhhhh. No. I was a monster those last few months. You did nothing wrong Luke, I did. You guys were the ones that always kept me in check. When I did this, I did it to myself." Charlie said, holding up his wrists, that showed the spots where he slit his wrists. I picked up his hand, and kissed it. "So what brings you all here to see me?" Charlie asked. "We need closure." Luke said. "We think you do too." Abby said. Finally gaining enough courage to walk closer to Charlie. "Maybe you are right." Charlie said. "We are. I can feel it." I said. Charlie smiled at me. "I need to say goodbye to you all. I didn't get a chance too before." Charlie said. "Abby." He said, holding out his hand. She took it and they walked a little ways away behind a tree. I started to cry hard again, and Luke put his arms around me, hugging me. I could feel him crying between my sobs. A little while later Abby walked back. Charlie waved to Luke, and Luke walked over. Abby and I just stood there and waited. Luke walked back and put his hand on my shoulder. "Go." He said, and pointed. I walked over to Charlie. When he took my hand though we were both surrounded by light. "What is going on?" I asked him. "I don't know?" He said, looking kind of freaked out. He started to look pale and kind of transparent. The light got so bright, I had to shut my eyes against the sting. When I opened them again Charlie and I were standing in a very grey and dark world. "I'm in your world again, aren't I?" I asked him. "Yeah." He said, looking around. "What happened?" I asked. "I don't know." He said again. "But I need to say goodbye to you. He said, and turned me so we were facing each other. He had my hands in his hands. "I have a feeling I wont be visiting you after tonight." He said. "Robyn, I'm terrified. Something feels funny. I'm all tingly." I started to cry, but he wiped my cheek with his hand, and I stopped. "Robyn, you meant the world to me when I was alive. I killed myself because I didn't know how to handle life knowing I had hurt you. I was lonely, and depressed, and I hated myself. You had no blame in what I did." He said. "I love you. I will always love you. And I know in my heart that if I hadn't done this it would have been you and me up at an alter. You and me at the House of Blues. Remember when we snuck away there that night. Before it even opened. We made love on the stage." He said. I smiled when I remembered. "Yes." I told him. "Charish that memory of me. Not the desperate man I became before I died." He said. "I will." I told him. "Promise?" He said. "I promise." I told him, trying to hold in my tears. "Kiss me. One more time." He said. I stepped in closer, and kissed him. He put his arms around me. When I opened my eyes we were floating in the air. Charlie was surounded by light. "Charlie?" I said. "It's okay. I think I'm going where I am suposed to go now." He said. "Goodbye." He blew me a kiss, and started to rise above me. I reached out to grab him, but I couldn't reach him. "CHARLIE! COME BACK!" I shouted. "You have to let me go now Robyn." He said. "Charlie." I whispered. "Goodbye Love." He said. "Good bye." I said, and watched him float above to the sky that was engulphed in white light. "Charlie." I whispered under my breath. "Let him go child." I heard a voice say. I looked around, but no one was there. When I looked back up, charlie was gone, and was back on the ground. "Goodbye." I said, and took a deep breath. I imediatly stopped crying, and felt an unexpected happy feeling inside. Like I really knew Charlie was in a better place. Where he belonged. I looked around and noticed I was stil in the gray world. In Charlies world. "How do I get back?" I asked, looking around. I could see to shadowy figures in the distance, and new they were Abby and Luke. "Guys!" I shouted. I realized they images of them were distorted. "They can't hear me." I stated to myself. Just then I heard a baby cry. I looked around and saw nothing but gray trees. I started to follow the sound. I made my way toward a tree and saw a woman standing there holding a small child. She smiled at me, and uncovered the baby's face so I could see. I walked over to here and smiled when I saw the little boy. "You look just like Will." I said. Stopped crying and laughed. "He is safe now, isn't he. Just like Charlie?" I asked the woman. She just smiled, and nodded. "Thank you." I said. She turned and started to walk away with the child. "Wait!" I shouted, and she stopped and turned back around. "Can I hold him?" I asked her. She shook her head no. "Please?" I asked. She shook her head no and pointed to my stomach. I didn't understand. I looked down at my stomach and saw nothing. When I looked back up she had vanished. Leaving me with nothing but that one glimpse of my lost baby and an overwhelming feeling of peace. I saw Abby and Luke, and this time I could see them clearly. I realized I was back in my living world. I walked over and they looked concerned. "Are you okay?" Luke asked me. "Yeah, why?" I asked. "You were gone for like an hour. We walked around trying to find you, but you were gone." Luke said. "I'm fine." I told him. He put his arm around me and Abby and we all walked back to Charlies grave. It looked just like it had before we summoned Charlie. It all felt like a dream. I picked up my blanket, Luke picked up is guitar pic, and Abby picked up her anklet. "Well. Maybe we can all move on now. Like Charlie." Luke said. "Yeah." I said, and smiled. "Lets go. I'm cold." Abby said. I don't know why, but it made me laugh. we all walked back to hedge and crawled under. Simon was sitting on the hood of the car looking up at the stars. "Hey guys. How did it go?" Simon asked. I just smiled and we all piled into the car not saying a word. Simon drove us back to Luke's place. As we were leaving the Cemetary the radio turned on and Oasis started playing. "Oh my god!" Abby said. "What?" I asked. "Charlie said whenever we hear Oasis, he is near." She said, and we all laughed. "Good old Charlie." Luke said. "Hey guys. We should all get Oasis tattoos before I leave." I said. "You got it." Luke said. "With a C for charlie." Abby added. "Yeah." I siad, and sighed. Simon put his hand on my leg. We all started to sing to Oasis on the way home.

"Sure." She said, standing up.
Caleb is the one being a jackass." He said.
"You don't mean that-"
"Yes I do!" He shouted. "He's been jealous of you this whole time. Maybe with good reason."
"No, you love Caleb." I told him.
"Yeah. It's different though, then how I feel about you. Can we talk about this another time? The book says you should try not to do this with a lot of negative energy."
"Yeah, sure.
"He kept getting mad because He couldn't get it quite right."
"I love it anyway." Abby said, and we giggled at it.
I'm all tingly."
I started to cry, but he wiped my cheek with his hand, and I stopped.
