I was so tired when I woke up that afternoon the day after Hooleyfest. I had a lot of fun though. I ended up not being able to hold back any longer. I give in and took a hit off of Omar's joint. I pretty much stuck with Omar the whole day. Rose ran off a few times to go see bands on other stages. It was all a very intersting, but fun experience. I did a lot of things I had never done before. I crowd surfed, jumped in a moonwalk, danced on a stage, took a shot of Jager, ate sour krout and like I mentioned earlier, smoked weed. Omar couldn't beleive I hadn't done any of those things before. He continuously encouraged me to try new things and I was glad I did. I really enjoyed all of it.
I sighed and got up. I made my way to the bathroom and decided to take a nice long bath. I layed there for at least an hour and I kept dozing off. The water was starting to get cool, so I quickly washed and layed on the couch watching tv in my towel. After a while, I got dressed. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I realized I had gotten a really nice tan at Hooleyfest. I always felt prettier when I had a tan, but I rarely had one. I blow dried my hair and put it in pigtails, then I put some make up on. I called Simon, but he didn't answer. I decided to call Luke and see how things were going.
"I went to Hooleyfest." I blurted out when he answered.
"What?"
"The biggest rock fest in San Diego." I bragged.
He laughed. "Oh, that sounds like fun."
"It was." I said.
"Lot's of people there?" He asked.
"Tons." I said. "There were so many people there."
"Cool."
"I smoked pot." I told him.
He laughed. "About time you tried it."
"Shut up." I laughed. "How are you and Caleb?"
"Good." He said. "He feels really bad about some of the things he said to you and how he acted in front of everyone."
"It's okay. He did have a good reason to get upset. He didn't really understand any of it. He probably felt a little out of the loop. You gotta make sure you talk to him about your feelings and stuff." I said.
"I know. I have been."
"Good."
"Yeah."
"I have a tan!" I said excitedly as I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror again.
He laughed. "I bet it's hot."
"It is."
"Send me a picture."
"No, no." I said giggling.
"Yes, yes."
"This is the kind of thing that upsets your boyfriend."
He sighed. "It's all just in good fun."
"Is it?"
"It has to be."
"But, it's not." I said.
"Sorry." He said.
"That's okay. I'll take a picture of me with Simon and send that." I said. "Then you can see my tan and Caleb won't get upset."
"Okay." He said. "Wear a bikini."
"Luke!" I laughed.
"Kidding." He said.
"Oh, shut up. You are not kidding." I said.
"I know. Take it at the beach or something." He said.
"No!" I laughed.
"Damn."
I giggled.
"Well, I have to go help Abby and Carl paint." He said.
"Paint?"
"They got a townhouse. Rent to own." He said. "They are really close to Will's apartment."
"Awww." I wined.
"What?"
"I want to see it. Will you send me pictures?" I asked.
"Of me in tight shorts? Wink, Wink." He said.
I laughed. "You're retarded."
"But, it will look like it is being take of the house." He said.
"Just the house. Not you in your skivies." I said.
He laughed. "Alright."
"Well, I'll let you go." I said.
"Alrighty." He sighed. "Love you."
"Love you too." I said and hung up.
I layed down on the couch. I was so bored. I called Omar to see what he was up to. He said he was just laying around the house.
"You should come pick me up, cause I'm bored." I said.
"I thought you had a boyfriend." He said.
"I tried to call him, but he didn't answer." I said.
"That's weird."
"Yeah."
"I mean, you were gone all day yesterday at a rock festival. Shouldn't he have called you or come over? And not just because he missed you, but because he wants to see how everything went." He said.
"I guess. . ."
"If you were my girl, I would have called you or stopped by first thing in the morning." He said.
"He's probably just busy or something." I said, starting to feel disapointed.
"Wow."
"What?" I asked.
"Simon is crazy." He said.
"I don't want to be his whole life." I said.
"You should be one of the main things though."
"We're not married or anything. We're not even that serious." I said.
"Have you slept with him? Told him you loved him?" He asked.
". . . yeah." I said.
He laughed. "I'd say it's right around the corner from serious then."
"True."
There was a long pause. I didn't know what to say to him.
"Wow, I'm really sorry." He said, breaking the silence. "Not every guy is like me. Sorry."
"It's okay."
"I'll come get you and we can grabbed an early dinner." He said. "And how does a movie sound afterwards?"
I smiled. "Sounds good. I havn't even been to the movies in a while."
"See you soon."
"Okay, bye."
I waited for him to hang up the phone, then I hung up. I started to wonder if Omar had a crush on me or something. He really got bent out of shape, because Simon didn't try to get ahold of me. I layed down and dozed off while waiting for Omar.
