*Chapter Thirty-Nine*
"You read all my thoughts of passion And the dreams of my delight Whatever stirs my mottled frame Well you keep it warm at night I don't know where you come from And no I haven't got a clue All I know is I'm in love With someone who loves me too"

"LUKE! Luke!" I shouted.
"What, what?" He said, walking out of the bathroom.
"I found an old pic of us from highschool!" I said.
"Oh god! I don't want to see it." I said.
"Oh come on, it's cute. Look how skinny you are." I said.
"Shut up. Let me see." He said, and held out his hand.
"Put some clothes on first!" I told him. He was just wearing a towel.
"Just let me see it!" He said, and took it from me.
"Oh my god! I'm such a dork!" he shouted.
"Whatever! You were hot! All the girls liked you." I told him. He gave me a look of disbelief.
"Seriously! Chase would get so jealous of you." I told him. "He would get upset if he thought I was hanging out with you too much. No one else, just with you." I told him. Luke just smiled.
"Oh my god! you still had braces! This was what, Sophmore year?" He asked.
"Yeah! Can you believe it?" I asked. Luke shook his head.
"Do you have more?" He asked.
"Yeah, in the box thats sitting on the couch." I told him. He smiled, and put his arm around me and kissed me.
"You really want to get married?" He asked.
"YES!" I shouted.
"Just checking." He said, and kissed me.
"I should probably call my mom and tell her, huh?" I asked. Luke laughed.
"I'm thinking thats a good idea." He said.
"She's gonna bring up Will again." I told Luke, and rolled my eyes.
"And she always will. It's okay." He said, and hugged me.
"Well, you get dressed mister. I'm going to go for a walk and make a few calls." I said, and started to kiss his neck.
"Okay, but don't be gone too long. I'll miss you." He said.
"Good." I told him, and giggled. I grabbed my purse and walked out of the house. It was late afternoon and nice and warm outside. I walked to the beach then called me mom.
"Madre!" I said when she answered.
"Robyn! You call more!" She scolded.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" I told her.
"How are you?" She asked.
"Good." I said, trying not to sound too excited.
"How is uh....Simon?" She asked. I laughed.
"What?"
"Simon and I broke up." I told her.
"Oh, that is too bad." She said, not sounding too upset. "You know Will-"
"Madre! Enough. Luke and I are-"
"Luke? He is there?" She asked.
"Yes, Madre."
"Why is Luke there?"
"Because, we are going to get married." I told her, knowing how crazy she was going to think it sounded.
"WHAT?" She shouted. "HE likes boys!"
"Madre! He loves me. He alwyas has. I love him too." I told her.
"I always knew you like that boy most." She said. "Why marry so soon?"
"We have waited too long to even be together. We know it is right." I told her.
"OKay, okay. When is wedding?" She asked. "Where is wedding?" Her voice was steadily getting more and more excited.
"I don't know yet! Calm down. We want to figure some things out first. Like where we are going to live. Maybe about opening a business out here. A part of the House, Madre." I explained.
"Okay, OKAY! Call me!" She said. "I have to call all family, and friend." She said, and hung up.
"Goodbye to you too." I said, and laughed. I knew she was more excited then she was letting on. I called Will next. He didn't answer, so I just told him to call me. I almost called Travis, then decided I should just call later. I put my phone in my purse and continued walking down the beach.
"ROBYN!" Someone shouted, breaking my concentration.
I squinted and saw someone waving and running up to me. It was Simon. He colided with me, picked me up and spun me around.
"How've ya been?" He asked.
"Good. You?" I said.
"Awesome. You look cute. You havn't called since we huh, you know. You okay?" He asked, and I smiled.
"Yeah." I said.
"What?" He asked.
"It's a long story." I told him.
"One you better tell me." He said.
"Remember Luke?" I asked.
"Of course." He said.
"Him and Caleb called it quits." I explained.
"Oh, thats too bad. Why?" He asked.
"Because Luke loves me." I told him.
"I knew that." Simon said.
"What?" I asked.
"And you love him too." He said.
"Was it that obvious?" I asked.
"It was to me. So, is that why you are smiling?" He asked, and I held up my hand with the ring on it.
"No way!" He said.
"Yeah." I told him.
"Promise ring, or engagment ring?" He asked.
"The second one.
"Holy shit! That is crazy." He said. "But good crazy. I'm happy for you!" He said, and hugged me again.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yes, really. I knew we weren't ever going to be anything more then good friends." He said.
"Thanks." I told him.
"Where is he?" He asked.
"Back at my place."
"Well, tell him I said hi. And call me woman! I gotta go now. I I'm late to pick up Pete from work." He said, and hugged me one last time. I watched him run off, then turned and walked back home.

When I opened the door Luke was looking through the box of pictures on the couch.
"These are so crazy. Look a Charlie! What a goober." He said, and laughed. I sat down behind him and put my arms around him.
"So, what is our plan?" I asked Luke.
"You and I were always the planners, weren't we?" Luke asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"I was thinking I'll fly back to Utah, pack up my things and have them sent out. You can look for a bigger place, while I'm gone. I'd be back in a week and we could settle in our new place together." He said.
"Sounds great to me." I told him.
"Good. I'll get a flight back in a few days." He said.
"What about the House?" I asked.
"Good question. I think we have a lot of options. I'm not ready to get rid of The House Of Blues. Travis is an awesome business partner too. I think we should keep it. And maybe opening a sister bar out here. We'd be tight on money until it took off, but I know we could do it." He said.
"I don't know. There are already a lot of bars and venues out here." I told him.
"I know that. But we could make it work." He said.
"You know what I was thinking?" I asked him.
"What?" He asked.
"Producing." I said.
"Hmm. I never thought about that." He said.
"Or having a recording studio." I told him.
"Yeah, that would be fun to own." He said.
"We can think about it later." I told him, and turned his head so I could kiss him.
"Yes, later. Right now I think we should do this." He said, turning more and kissing me. We spent the next couple days together, never leaving each others side. I was so happy. I cried the whole way to the airport, and back when I had to drop him off. It was easy finding a place. I found a two bedroom apartment that was farther into the city, and a little cheaper then the houses closer to the beaches. I even managed to get the place furnished! Simon, Pete, Connie, Trev, and Omar helped me move my stuff over to the new place. I got everything ready for when Luke would get there. He drove from Utah so that he would have his car. The movers in their small truck were already there when Luke arrived.
"LUKE!" I shouted, and ran to see him. "I missed you." I told him.
"I missed you too." He said, and kissed me. "Someone else missed you too." He said.
"What? Who?" I asked, confused. I heard a bark.
"No!" I said. "Yes. Cooper." He said. I ran to his car and Cooper was in the front seat.
"Travis said he was having trouble keeping him, so I brought him." He explained. I opened the door and Cooper jumped out and started jumping on me.
"GOOD BOY!" I shouted, and hugged him. "I forgot how big he is!" I said, pushing him down.
"Wow, this place is nice." Luke said.
"I love it!" I told him.
"Come on, lets look around!" I told him, and he and Cooper followed me to the apartment.

About a month and a half later, everything was wonderful! We had a couple business options, a few ideas for a wedding the next year, and a group of amazing friends. I didn't think it could get any better then that. Until one tuesday. It was a really hot summer day, and I had just found out some really great news! I was sitting around waiting for Luke to get back from a meeting with the bank. I had packed a big lunch for us to take to the beach as a suprise. Finaly Luke got home. I ran to the door and hugged him.
"Nice to see you too." He said, and put his arms around me.
"I made lunch. So we can drive to the beach." I told him.
"Okay..." He said, looking at me suspiciously.
"Oh, stop! It'll be fun! Come on!" I told him.
"I just got home."
"COME ON!" I shouted. He smiled and picked up the basket from the counter. I put Cooper on his leash then we left. We got to the beach and there were people everywhere. I knew a spot farther up though where there were always a lot less people. We found a nice spot, and spread out the blanket to eat. I didn't see anyone around, so I unhooked Coopers leash, so he could run around. I started unpacking the basket while Luke just sat and watched the ocean.
"So, what is this all about?" He asked me.
"What do you mean?" I asked him.
"All this? What is it?" He asked. I smiled realy big.
"Luke. I'm pregnant." I told him. His eyes got huge.
"What? Are you sure?" He asked.
"Yes, I'm sure." I told him. "I took three different tests." He smiled at me.
"Thats amazing." He said, and picked up my hand.
"You're gonna be a daddy." I said. He moved some of the food and pulled me close to him so he could kiss me.
